Thursday, July 18th

  • Free Root Beer Floats at Viking Bank, 3-5pm
  • RWB Family Kiddie Parade, 6pm.  Set up / start at Fire Hall at 5:30pm.  Cash prizes for 1st/2nd/3rd place Patriotic Costume and 1st/2nd/3rd General Costume.  Free.  Sponsored by ALF.
  • Supper in the Park, 5:30-7pm or until gone.  Details TBA.
  • Kids Activity & Craft Booths in the park, 6:30-7:30pm.  Free.  Sponsored by ALF & Ashby Roots
  • Family BINGO in the Park, 7:30pm-dusk.
  • Movie in the Parkfeaturing "National Treasure", showtime dusk (~9pm).  Free.  Sponsored by Park Region Telephone.


Friday, July 19th

  • ALF Legacy Awards, 5pm at City Park
  • Ashby 5K/10K Registration and Packet Pick-Up, 4:30-6pm in front of First Presbyterian
  • Steak Fry, 5-7pm at the Legion
  • Ashby Fire & EMS Open House, 6-8pm at the Fire Hall, featuring ambulance tours, jaws of life demos, hands-on fire hose.
  • Ashby As game, 7pm at Ashby School ball fields.
  • Karaoke with Rachael Sings, 8pm-midnight at the Legion.
  • Fireworks, 10pm.  View from Ashby School ball fields.

 

Saturday, July 20th

  • Family 1km Fun Run and 1.5 Mile Roots Youth Run, start 8:00am (register 7:00-7:45am) at Central Lakes Trail. Fundraiser for the Ashby Legacy Fund.
  • 5K/10K, start 8:45am (register 7-8am) at Central Lakes Trail. Fundraiser for the Ashby Legacy Fund.
  • Food Shelf Breakfast at the Legion, 7:30am-10:30am. Bring a free will donation or non-perishable food item for the Grant County Food Shelf. Sponsored by the Ashby Equity, TFC Poultry, & Ashby Legion.
  • Annual Ashby A's Golf Scramble at Tipsinah Mounds, 8amRegister 7am.  $80/4-person team.  Contact 218-731-1985 for info.
  • Horseshoe Tournament at Memorial Park, 9am.  Register 8:30am.  Draw for doubles format.
  • Craft, Vendor, and Farmers' Market Street Fair around the park, 10am-3pm. Vendor fees benefit the Ashby Legacy Fund. Contact ashby5km@gmail.com with questions. FREE admission. See current listing of booths at bottom of page.  Download booth registration form here.
  • Dunk Tank, 10am-1pm near the park.  Hosted by 8th Grade class.
  • Music in the park. FREE. Sponsored by the ALF Community Team.

    • 11am-4pm Large inflatables
    • 11am-4pm Petting Zoo
  • ArrowBots demo, 12-2pm on the basketball court.
  • Pie & Ice Cream Social in the park, 2-4pm.  Hosted by Peace WELCA. 
  • Hamburgers in the Park, 4:30-5:30pm. Meal includes chips and water.  Free will donation.  Fundraiser for Ashby Robotics.

  • Parking Lot Dance at the Legion featuring Tripwire, gates open 7pm.  21+, must show ID. Sponsored by Sons of the Legion.

  • Community Worship in the Park, 10:30am.
  • Lions Club Pancake Breakfast in the Park, 8am-12pm, free will donation.
